History

Arc was founded in Minneapolis in 1946 when a small gathering of parents, family members, and educators met to discuss their hopes and dreams for their children with developmental disabilities.  Today, Arc Greater Twin Cities is one of almost 1,000 Arc chapters nationwide, all working to improve the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

Mission

To secure for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families opportunities to choose and realize their goals of where and how they live, learn, work and play
