Through the Human Services and Public Health Department Redesign, we intend to produce better outcomes for our customers and, within 5 years, become a model of service integration. Accomplishing this, during a time of changing funding priorities and public expectations about government will not be easy.

We will be:

  • More innovative and flexible in identifying and meeting both customers’ and stakeholders’ needs,
  • More systematic in our use of data to drive decision making,
  • More creative in maximizing and utilizing resources,
  • More customer focused and less bureaucratic, and
  • More attractive as a place to work.
We sincerely believe that by working together we can achieve all of this. We also believe that in doing so; costs will decline significantly while services improve, thereby increasing both customer satisfaction and our own pride in the vital work of the Department.
